Tea for easing anxiety


three parts lemon balm

two parts lavender

two parts mint (spearmint in particular is great for this blend)

one part rose petals

one part sage 

a pinch of rosemary leaves

Mix well, using a mortar and pestle. Don’t grind so fine that the mixture turns into a powder. Put into an infuser ball and immerse in boiling water for 5-7 minutes. A little honey or coarse brown sugar is great to add if you want a little sweetener. Turn off heat and let steep for 4-5 minutes. The tea is aromatic and calming, but it won’t put you to sleep. This makes it great for getting stressful projects done.

Lemon balm, lavender, sage, and mint are all relaxing. Lemon balm is a mild sedative. Sage is also antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory. You can make this tea with dried herbs or fresh.

Definitely in need of anxie-tea at the moment. ~_~ Time to heat up the water. Also recommend Chamomile and Passionflower.
